PC editing software

Hey all..

If in a bit of a pickle.. I have Premier 6 and I have the classic fast playback problem when trying to output to my camera. I need to try to use a different program until I can sort it out, I need something which I can output to my cam, which will actually work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My suggestion: Don't use any Pinnacle products.

Im not sure what your problem is, but try and make sure that you dont try to write to the camera at a faster rate than your hard drive. (eg: If your hard drive can handle 2000 Mb/sec dont try and write to your camera at a rate of 3000 Mb/sec ) because you will drop frames.

Does anyone else have a serious problem with premiere? If so let me know. I've just started using it properly and need to know any 'serious' difficulties eith the program.

I've just edited my first proper short together using a Pinnacle DC10plus and Premiere.
By that I mean that it involves real people, unlike my last effort

It looks really good in the little preview window, a little jerky, but that should be fine when it goes back to the video.
Shouldn't it?

If I can't work it out (and I don't think I can) I'll have to redo the capture and edit!

I think the problem is that I captured in Premiere and not in Pinnacle's software.

when you export a movie, there are a bunch of
settings you can check. One of those is
"Limit Data Rate to:"
This probably needs to be adjusted.
There is stuff on the web about it but it takes forever to find.
